Our Work with the ELCA
Striving to be the Heart, Mind, and Hands of God
We partner with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America for many missions that reach out to people around the country and world.
Our Quilting Mission
Our dedicated quilters Anna, Sharon, Shirley and Janet continue to cut squares and sew quilt tops at home. We love any help you love to provide! Isn't the sanctuary beautiful all dressed up for "The Blessing of the Quilts" at the end of a hard year of work by all?
SOME MAKE FACE MASKS!
St. Paul answered the call from Lutheran World Relief who requested homemade masks to be distributed worldwide in an effort to protect our
neighbors from the corona virus. Members of our quilting group along with non-quilters and friends of St. Paul contributed their time and talents to make masks. A total of 125 masks were made, blessed, and will be shipped to Lutheran World Relief.
Women of the ELCA
As a community of women created in the image of God called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.
Each quarter of the year, St. Paul collects donations for the ELCA Good Gifts Catalog seeking to support one aspect of world need. Donations received will be forwarded to the ELCA for purchase of the gift of the quarter. If you’d like to know more, visit the ELCA website: https://goodgifts.elca.org
